Director of Sports

We are seeking applications for a fun-loving, self-directed and highly motivated Director of Sports to join our team here at the College commencing Term 1, 2021.

Your core role is to increase the participation and performance levels of students in sport and physical recreation. To direct and manage the school sport and physical recreation programmes by effectively providing highly skilled Leadership, Administration, Communication, and Resource management while modeling and promoting the school values and learning ethos

School Guidance Counsellor 

Term Time Only, Part-time 35 hours per week 

We seek an enthusiastic, innovative, highly motivated, organised and culturally responsive registered guidance counsellor to work with alongside our learners, staff and the wider community. 

Your core role is to offer counselling services to learners, staff and whanau as required.  Our counselling team work collaboratively to ensure school-wide Hauora (wellbeing) and care systems evolve so we continue to meet the needs of our school community.  Working collaboratively with the staff you will play a key role in ensuring a safe and inclusive climate in the college, free of intolerance, harassment and bullying. 

This role is a part-time, permanent, term time only position (35 hours per week * negotiable for the right candidate) due to start on Monday 1st February 2020. Social Worker 

Term Time Only, Part-time 25 hours per week 

We are seeking a Community Liaison/ Social Worker to provide wellbeing and wrap-around social support to Rolleston College learners and their home whānau.

Your core role is to offer community liaison/social work services to learners, staff and whanau as required. Our Hauora/Wellness team work collaboratively to ensure school-wide hauora and care systems evolve so we continue to meet the needs of our school community.  This role will require you to provide support, within the college and externally for learners who are accessing our extended hauora/wellbeing services. This role also requires you to support the empowerment of learners through building strengths, resilience, improving life skills, improving home whānau relationships and reducing antisocial behaviour.  You will also be required to facilitate school-based resilience programmes and to liaise with external wellbeing support services.

This role is a part-time, permanent, term time only position (25 hours per week due to start on Monday 1st February 2020.
