Bringing a charged device and the correct stationery
Making sure that your child has the correct equipment so they are Ready to Learn (R2L) is incredibly important. To be Ready to Learn, all learners should bring a charged laptop/device to school to engage in learning tasks. Learners should also bring laptop/device chargers to ensure that they are not in a situation where they are unable to learn.
Learners should also have a pen ready to go for any paperwork that may be given out during the day. Learners will work with a mixture of device work, and on paperwork throughout their classes at the college. Having some refill is also useful for learners who may need to take notes, or draw images to help support their understanding.
For learners who need to borrow a device from the college, devices must be collected from the library before block one begins. Learners can borrow a device each day for as long as they need. For learners who may need to borrow a device as a more permanent solution, a form must be collected and completed before a ‘named device’ is given. Your child will bring this home for you to complete if needed.
If you need support with any of this, please feel free to get in touch with your child's Ako/Advisory coach who will be able to assist you with any concerns. Let’s ensure that we’re all R2L for the remainder of the year.
