Administrator/receptionist opportunity

Are you highly motivated, personable and enjoy working with teenagers? Can you effectively prioritise and facilitate requests with a smile but also be able to pay attention to the little things to ensure nothing falls through the cracks? Great, then this might be the role for you.

Due to growth, Rolleston College seeks a full-time administration superstar to join our fabulous team here at the college commencing in term two 2024. Your ability to work as part of a team with high integrity, confidentiality and honesty are essential. While experience in a secondary school setting and knowledge of KAMAR is preferable, it is not essential for the right candidate as training and support will be provided.

Our Administrator/Receptionist roles are varied. However, your skills will be crucial in helping to prioritise and facilitate staff, learner, whānau and community requests. Each team member currently holds a portfolio of work to allow for growth. This will enable us to develop, embed and share portfolios amongst the team, allowing for individual ownership and school growth. For this role we would ideally like someone with scheduling, event or facility management experience to assist facility coordination such as van bookings, facility hireage, theatre set up and support.

Reporting to our Admin Supervisor, the roles are permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week), term-time-only positions. Your work hours will be 8am to 4pm, carried out each week of the school term, Monday to Friday. In addition to your core term time hours, the role will require you to work ten additional days (approx two days, each term break) to help with back-to-school, end-of-the-year, post and preterm preparations. Non-term hours may require some flexibility but can be negotiated in advance, depending on school commitments.
