Tēnā koutou,

We want to share how truly wonderful it was to host our year 8 welcome morning on Tuesday 9 December 2025. The atmosphere was so positive, and it was a real privilege to spend time with our newest cohort.

Start of year dates

First day together: Monday 2 February 2026

  • Start time: School starts at midday. Please make your way to the plaza upon arrival and line up at your whānau flags, just like at the welcome morning.
  • Focus on connection: The afternoon will be dedicated to supportive transition activities: meeting your Ako coach, connecting with your year 9–11 Ako group, and learning your timetable and classes. This means the day will be off-timetable, focused purely on building confidence and belonging.
  • Timetables will be issued on this day.

Tuesday 3 February 2026
Timetabled classes will commence on Tuesday 3 February 2026. This will be  day 1 of the six-day cycle timetable. Learn about our timetable here.
