This week we celebrated one of our most memorable graduation events yet. With more than 900 attendees, the kura was filled with pride, joy, and the collective belief in the futures of our senior learners. Thank you to our staff, whānau, and wider community for the aroha shown to our graduates.
We also came together for our Pō Whakanui – a meaningful and uplifting evening honouring our ākonga Māori and their whānau. This gathering reaffirmed our commitment to Māori achievement and our responsibility as a kura to uphold equitable outcomes and culturally rich learning, regardless of any changes to national direction.
Looking ahead, we’re excited for our year 9 prizegiving next week, where we will celebrate the growth and successes of our junior learners. We also look forward to welcoming our incoming year 8s for their transition morning – the first step in their journey with us.
As the year draws to a close, I wish every learner, staff member, parent, caregiver, and whānau a safe and happy Christmas break. May it be a time of rest, connection, and laughter.
And before we wrap the year entirely – a reminder that our bricksibition fundraiser is happening this Saturday in our school auditorium from 9am to 3pm. It’s a fantastic family event and a great way to support those learners heading off to France next year. We’d love to see you there.
He rau ringa e oti ai – with many hands, anything is possible.
Ngā mihi mahana,
Rachel
