We wish all learners and whānau a restful and enjoyable summer holiday, and look forward to welcoming you back to Rolleston College Horoeka Haemata in 2026.

Year 12 learners will return to school on Monday 2 February 2026. Please arrive between 8:30am and 8:45am and wait in the outdoor courts area. Learners will be welcomed to the new site with a mihi whakatau, starting at 8:50am. Following the mihi whakatau, learners will be involved in the opening ceremony, then spend the rest of the day in Advisory, before being released at 3:10pm.

Full timetabled classes begin on Tuesday 3 February 2026.

Ready to Learn in 2026

Uniform

​​We’re excited to introduce a refreshed uniform that gives our learners more choice, enhanced comfort, and a stronger sense of identity, reflecting who we are as we step confidently into the future as a two-campus school. The tidy wearing of the Rolleston College Horoeka Haemata uniform is a compulsory aspect of school attendance. 2026 is a transitional year for the uniform as we move to a full refreshed uniform in 2027. 

Refreshed uniform items are available from the NZ Uniforms online shop or in store at 455 Blenheim Road, Christchurch.

We encourage all uniform items to be clearly named so they can be easily returned if misplaced.

Ready to Achieve in 2026

Timetable

You will be able to view your timetable online in SchoolPoint in January 2026. Your Ako or Advisory coach is your first point of contact for any timetable queries.

Ready to Flourish in 2026

We encourage you to focus on your wellbeing, looking after all four walls of your Whare Tapa Whā (taha whānau, taha tinana, taha hinengaro and taha wairua) during your holiday, so you can return to school feeling strong, balanced and ready to take on 2026!

There are plenty of opportunities for learners to take care of wellbeing next year, with Spirit Week and Spirit Day, Whānau Sports Day, and more as the year unfolds.

Wednesday start time

We will continue to start school at 9:15am each Wednesday in 2026. This is to allow for our teachers’ continued professional development during our first year as a two-campus school.
