We are excited to announce our upcoming year 11 transition day as our learners prepare to step into their senior school journey at Rolleston College!

📅 Key details

• Date: Thursday 5 November 2026
• Location: Rolleston College Te Kura Tuarua (senior campus)
• Who: All year 11 learners (attendance is compulsory)
• Start time: 8:45am. Learners must assemble on the outdoor courts.

🌟 Purpose of the day

The focus of Transition Day is whanaungatanga (building connection and a sense of belonging) and helping our year 11 learners become fully familiarised with Te Kura Tuarua environment, facilities, and expectations before the new school year begins.

🎒 What learners need to bring and wear

Learners are expected to come fully prepared for the day:

• Uniform: Full Rolleston College school uniform. Please note: new ID photos for 2027 will be taken on this day.
• PE uniform/change of clothes: Learners should bring their PE uniform to get changed into for the Active As session.
• Learning device: Fully charged laptop/Chromebook
• Food and drink: Packed lunch and a refillable water bottle
  • There will be a food truck onsite at lunch time for learners to purchase food so bring some money if you wish to buy some food

🚌 Bus information

Are you a learner who normally catches the bus to kura?

No problems! Continue to catch the bus like normal and instead of getting off the bus at Te Kura Tuatahi, continue down the road to Tuarua. Same process at the end of the day but in reverse!

We look forward to a positive and inspiring day welcoming our year 11s to Te Kura Tuarua! If you have any immediate questions, please contact your whānau team.
