Learning support teacher with ORS responsibilities

Full time, Fixed term for one year in 2025 (Study award cover)

We are looking for a specialist teacher able to work as part of the school learning support team to support the classroom teacher’s programme and to ensure the learning needs of ORS learners can be met in the best way possible.

We are looking for a kind, organised and committed teacher who can work alongside our fantastic team. This role would suit a flexible, passionate person who believes in equity and inclusion. An understanding of the SPEC programme would be an advantage. Knowledge and experience of NZ Curriculum Level 1 is expected, and an enthusiasm for working with students with diverse needs.  

As the learning support teacher in charge of an adapted programme, you will develop and deliver a curriculum tailored to the specific needs of ORS students with learning, behavioural and/or physical challenges. You will collaborate closely with classroom teachers, teacher aides and specialists to create a supportive, inclusive learning environment that meets each student’s unique needs.
