Ara Institute whānau evening

The careers team has had a busy few weeks with trips out and guest speakers in. Blair From Ara Institute came and spoke with a group of senior learners and their whānau about the different options available. The wide variety of courses on offer means an awesome number of our alumni are studying there full time.

Larcombs Vineyard

A huge thank you to Tom from G&T Catering who hosted a group of our learners at Larcombs and taught them how to lay tables and prepare and serve scones and tea. It was a very tasty morning!

New Zealand Broadcasting School

A group of media students visited the New Zealand Broadcasting School and learnt about the degree in broadcasting including screen, journalism and radio.

They had a go at recording a voice over commercial, and spent time talking with a range of students across the three specialisations. This included a guest appearance from our very own Charlie Johnson who left Rolleston College two years ago to study there.

Digital screen at University of Canterbury

A group of design students were lucky enough to have insight into the digital screen campus at UC. This is a new degree and the campus is still under construction. We were one of the first groups to see the amazing facilities that support the four-year degree, which is all about storytelling.
