Hockey extraordinaire honoured by Volunteering Canterbury

This week Fred Dodson was recognised by Volunteering Canterbury for his service and efforts within our Rolleston College hockey programme.

Fred has been an integral member of sport at Rolleston College. He started our hockey programme seven years ago alongside Hayden Shaw and has been in this role since. As a new school, people like Fred are invaluable and he has worked incredibly hard and put in countless hours to grow and support hockey at Rolleston College.

This year Fred has taken on coaching the boys 1st XI with Rachel Hill having previously coached the girls first XI. Fred also takes time off work to support and coach at South Island winter tournament week each year.

Fred does everything with a smile on his face and is always willing to help where there is a need.

We greatly appreciate you, Fred, for your commitment to Rolleston College sport!
