Kia ora, I'm Jaya Hopkins and I am one of your head students for 2025. Since starting here in 2021, I've been heavily involved in both leadership and extracurricular activities, from being a Ngahuru whānau ambassador, to performing in school productions, and playing for the girls first XI hockey team. All these experiences have created my connection with Horeka Haemata, and I'm super excited to support and represent our students.
Malo ‘e lelei, I’m Suli Iketau and I'm proud to be one of the head students for 2025. I began my journey at Rolleston College in 2021 and got involved with the cultural side of our school, working with tutors and dance instructors to embrace different cultures. I’ve also been able to flourish with my leadership and my academic side thanks to the many opportunities that our school holds. I’m grateful for all these opportunities as they’ve opened up doors that I never saw myself walking through. I can’t wait to see what the future has in hold for us.
Hello, my name is Jack Jarvis, I am one of the 2025 head students for Rolleston College. Rolleston College has been a great school for me as it offered me opportunities in rugby, leadership, and academics. I enjoy New Zealand’s backcountry as I go hunting and explore the mountain ranges. Through my challenges in school, I have become more resilient and a better leader. I look forward to seeing what the year holds for the school and am keen to support our students.
Kia ora, my name is Briah and I am excited to be one of your head students for 2025. I enjoy fitness and staying active, netball, and spending time with my friends and family. Before becoming a head student, some of my connections to the school were whānau Ambassador for Kōanga and the board of trustees student rep last year. If you are looking to get involved with leadership roles I recommend these.
Hey, my name is Taika Reihana and as one of your head students, I'm very excited for the year ahead. I have been into my sports since day one, playing a variety of sports representing our kura; my main ones being first XV rugby and our school mixed touch team. I have also been culturally active, leading and representing our school at many kapa haka events. I am excited to represent our kura as a 2025 head student and encourage younger students to step out of their comfort zones and take on new opportunities.
