Kate Vee and Amelia McDermott are two of the eleven Rolleston College learners who will travel to Spain at the end of April.

"Hola, our names are Kate and Amelia and we’re going to Spain during the April school holidays!

To prepare for this trip we have had to learn both the school haka and Tutira mai nga iwi to perform for our sister school.

We have been able to choose the majority of the activities we will do in Barcelona. These include visiting La Sagrada Familia, Portaventura, Picasso Museum and many more exciting activities.

Ahead of our trip we have been contacting our Spanish host families to get to know them and the type of lifestyle we will be immersing ourselves in once we reach Toledo. One of the main things that we are both looking forward to is attending the home football match between Barcelona and Mallorca.

Overall we are incredibly excited for this trip and the great opportunity that has been presented to us!"
