Rolleston College is delighted to be able to offer the Travellers programme to our year 9 learners.
Travellers is a small-group progrmame about life's journey and how young people can be supported to face challenges in their life.
All year 9s completed a short Travellers online survey during the first term and following this, some learners will be offered the opportunity to take part in the programme.
In term two, a group of ten learners engaged in this programme and the feedback from them was very positive, stating they learnt about themselves and how they manage challenging situations and periods of change.
The groups meet during school time, with the minimum disruption to learners' academic commitments. Should your son/daughter/child in your care be invited to take part in Travellers, you will receive further information about the programme.
Travellers has been running in a number of New Zealand secondary schools since 2001. Rolleston College supports the implementation of the programme as part of our school's ongoing commitment to supporting the emotional well being of our students.
