Year 12 learner Isaac Ryland, who recently achieved his grade 6 cornet performance award from Trinity College London, and year 10 learner Jessica Black, performed as members of Rolleston Brass at the National Brass Band Championships in Christchurch during the school holidays.

The band won the street marching competition, test piece, and placed second overall in the C grade at the championships!
