Learning about stress and wellbeing


Level 1 health education have been learning about stress and ways to manage stress to support hauora/wellbeing. Last Thursday, the amazing Jenafer Matthews came in to run a breathwork and yoga workshop.

On Monday, the class took a trip to O-Studio Rolleston with the opportunity to experience a meditation/relaxation class and sauna and ice bath rotation (hot/cold therapy). For most of our learners this was their first time experiencing any of these activities. It was so great to see them try new things and enjoy themselves!

"O-Studio was an amazing experience, it was a lot of fun. It was very relaxing and I felt very calm afterwards. My highlight was getting in the ice bath as it was the first time I had done anything like that!" says Millie.
