Whānau sports day – Friday 1 March

On Friday 1 March we will be celebrating whānau sports day at Brookside Park.

Learners should be at Brookside Park for the start of the school day at 8:50am, where
we will do rolls and check in with learners as normal. We'll be there for the whole school day and
learners will be dismissed to go home from Brookside Park at approximately 2.30pm.

School buses will run as normal on this day and learners will be ferried to the park using school vans.

This will be repeated at the end of the day to ensure learners catch their bus home.

Learners are asked to come in comfortable sports clothes and dressed in their whānau colours. We
want our learners to use their imaginations and go crazy with their whānau colour! This event is
based around participation, whānau spirit and having a go! Each event will be worth points for the
whānau. The winning whānau will be announced at the end of the day.

Please ensure your your brings a hat, sunscreen, lunch and a water bottle. There will be an
opportunity to purchase a sausage or a Juicie ($2.50 each, cash only) on the day during the lunch break so bring some spare change!

All school rules apply for the day.

If we have to postpone this day due to weather a decision will be made by 7.30am on the day and we
will share this on our school Facebook pages and send a message through the SchoolBridge app. If this
happens, learners will have a normal day at school.
