At our first ever fiafia night on Tuesday 12 March, our Polyfest group performed for friends and family as they prepare for Polyfest (tomorrow, Saturday 16 March at South Hagley Park).

It was amazing to see our Pasifika community coming together as we used to back in the Island. Parents enjoyed the performance and the island dishes. It was also beautiful to hear the crowd speaking their mother-tongue languages. Our Polyfest group felt the warm support of their parents on the night. Senior leaders witnessed the Pasifika way of celebration. 

Our group performs tomorrow in their second Canterbury Polyfest. They are up fourth—about 9.30am to 10am.
