ANZAC Day commemorations

During the holidays we as the head students were honoured with the opportunity to make an appearance at the Rolleston ANZAC Service. This was a moment of remembrance and honour for all those who have served and continue to serve our country. Mackenzie presented a speech to the public and alongside Hannah and Ezra laid a Rolleston College wreath.

After this day we came together and discussed how proud we were to be able to wear our uniform with such pride during the day. We stood tall and were truly proud of our kura and the values that we embody. It was an amazing experience to see the soldiers and officers who also wore their decorated uniforms with such respect and pride in who they are and where they come from. As we transition into term two, the soldiers and officers serve us with the reminder of unity and pride in our school community. Let us draw inspiration from their leadership and dedication by ensuring that we as a kura wear the correct school uniform and uphold the values, and the sense of belonging this brings us.

We have many events coming up this term that we're very excited about, so make sure you keep an eye out on our Facebook and Instagram for updates and behind the scenes interviews and much more!
