We're incredibly proud of our Showquest team who placed second at the Canterbury final on Thursday 20 June.
This is an incredible achievement for the group, who were Rolleston College's first ever team to perform at the annual event.
Showquest is a performing arts competition inaugurated in 2019, and is reminiscent of the Smokefree Stage Challenge.
It's entirely learner-led, so the theme, storyboarding, choreography, and costuming was organised and carried out by our enthusiastic group of dancers.
The performance, called "Outside the Box", was largely choreographed by year 12 Ella Davies and year 13 Lucy Dunnlogan, and had a moving message about women's empowerment.
The girls received a highly commended accolade for their choreography, and the award for best drama, as well as the overall second place.
Official photos from the event are available at SmugMug.
