Careers and development – 5 July

Hands on at Otago

Current year 11 and 12 learners that are interested in studying at Otago have the opportunity to spend a week at Otago and stay on campus in one of their residential colleges and choose a subject to study for the week. There are 25 subjects on offer, from across business, health sciences, humanities (arts) and sciences. They’ll learn from world-class academic staff, meet students their age from schools across the country and participate in a huge range of activities that will challenge and inspire them for the year ahead.

University and tertiary whānau hui

At 5:30pm on Monday 29 July, Rachel will be holding a session in the school library for whānau of any year 13 learners who are thinking about university and tertiary as their next step in their journey. We will be finished by 6:30pm.

I will be covering some basics around the following areas:

  •  Applying to residential halls
  • Scholarships
  • First year expectations
  • Key dates.

Learners are welcome to come along with their parents and whānau.  Please enter school through the Library doors.

We look forward to seeing you there.
