Bathrooms
As we start back at school this term, it is important to remember that all learners need to be using bathrooms separately. Learners are not permitted to be in a stall with others. If learners are located in bathroom stalls with others, they will receive a consequence. It is important that bathroom stalls are available to everyone, and not being used to socialise.
Whānau competition
This term, we have a large number of events coming up for our whānau competition. Learners have the opportunity to compete for their whānau, or be involved as a part of their whole whānau group. Upcoming events include:
Junior Cantamath
Senor Cantamath
RC’s Got Talent
The haka off
Careers quiz
Yearbook cover competition
We look forward to seeing learners represent their whānau as we work through these events. If your child has any questions about events, encourage them to discuss them with their Ako/Advisory coach.
Year 10 camp
The end of year camps for year 10s provide the opportunity for learners to challenge themselves and have some meaningful adventures with their peers before relaxing over the summer holidays. Using Quests in Ako, these have been designed and planned by students, who will also be leading them with the support of staff members. They are in the process of being finalised and students will soon be choosing which of the experiences they will be participating in. There will be a variety of locations, themes and activities available – watch the video we posted on Facebook and stay tuned for more.
