Tahatū
Rolleston College Horoeka Haemata has been collaborating with the Tertiary Education Commission (TEC) to pilot Tahatū Career Navigator—a new interactive careers website.
Choosing a direction in life can be a challenging time for rangatahi, and they may turn to you for guidance. You and your rangatahi can:
get career ideas from the Inspire Me quiz
be inspired by more than 800 career ideas, including kaupapa Māori careers.
We would ask that you please don’t share the Tahatū website address outside our Rolleston College community as we are in a pilot phase.

Higgins Contractors experience day
On Friday 20 September, a group of learners spent the day at Higgins Contractors in Wigram learning all about traffic management and surveying. They were shown how to use a digger and surveying equipment. They also had a harnessing lesson and a go at dropping traffic cones from the side of a truck with the expert guidance and training from James, an ex-Rolleston College learner that has been smashing it in his role at Higgins over the last year. The day ended with a civil engineer setting a bridge building competition which became very controversial and competitive!
