Driver licences

A driver's licence is valued by many employers. We encourage our learners to work towards their full driving licence.

The New Zealand Transport Agency Waka Kotahi (NZTA) have launched a new Drive website and Drive Go app that can help your learner to gain their driver's licence.

Drive has everything you need to prepare for the learner, restricted or full licence test.

Gain up to eight NCEA credits by passing your driver's licence

A Class 1 licence applies to cars, as opposed to heavier vehicles or motorcycles.

• Learner’s: NCEA Level 1 (2 credits)

• Restricted: NCEA Level 2 (4 credits)

• Full: NCEA Level 2 (2 credits).

Health and safety course

This week we have had learners participate in a Health and Safety course. This has helped them gain practical skills for entering the workplace. Thanks to the Learning Place for coming and running the course. They had to do a practical job and apply what they had learnt on the course.
