On Tuesday 4 March, Rolleston College athletes will join competitors from Darfield High School, Ellesmere College and Lincoln High School at Ngā Puna Wai stadium in Christchurch for an athletics day, as part of the lead-up to the School Sport Canterbury athletics preliminaries and finals (Tuesday 18 and Friday 21 March).

There are options for both competitive and non-competitive athletes. Competitive athletes can enter traditional events (100m, 200m, 400m, 1500m, long jump, high jump, discus and shot put), while non-competitive events include games and activities.

There is something for everyone and we encourage all learners to come and compete or have a go!

Transport to and from the event is provided from Rolleston College.

The School Sport Canterbury event is a qualifier for the South Island Secondary Schools Athletics Championships in Nelson (5-6 April).
