Selwyn Parenting Week: 12–18 May

Selwyn Parenting Week is just around the corner, and it’s been a labour of love for our small local charity. We’ve spent countless hours and resources pulling this together.

Happening Next Week: This year’s line-up includes a powerful mix of in-person and online events, many of them free, featuring some of Aotearoa’s most trusted voices in parenting and child wellbeing:

  • Adventures in Parentland with Nigel Latta (Lincoln Events Centre)

  • Eating Disorders & Our Kids with Rebecca Papprill (West Melton)

  • Brains Under Pressure with Professor Julia Rucklidge – nutrition & kids’ mental health

  • Left to Their Own Devices with Holly Brooker – parenting in the digital era

  • Beyond the Diagnosis with Dawn Wilson (Buddy Zone) – autism, ADHD and more

  • Thriving with Neurodiversity – a strengths-based approach for parents

  • Raising Confident Eaters – supporting restricted eaters at mealtimes

  • Understanding and Supporting Big Emotions – a practical online webinar

  • Kids Need Dads – a conversation about fatherhood and connection

  • Where Do We Even Start? – support for families navigating disability or health needs (Parent to Parent)
