This week we have celebrated International Languages week at Rolleston College.

There are many international languages that students can learn at our school: Chinese, French, Japanese, Samoan, Spanish and Tongan.

We also have many students who speak different languages in their families. We wanted to share some of our languages with the community so on Wednesday night our students ran beginners' workshops in Afrikaans, Chinese, Eswatini, French, Japanese and Spanish. Everyone who came to the workshops had fun and learnt a lot.

During the week students have enjoyed learning fun facts about each country, doing quizzes and listening to music from around the world as our bell songs. 

Rolleston College learners and teachers speak languages from all over the world, from Arabic to Hindi, Malay to Swedish, Swahili, and many more. See more in the video!
