We are excited to share the details of our year 9 end of year programme running from Wednesday 3 December to Monday 8 December 2025.

The core focus of this programme is to support our year 9 learners with their academic transition into year 10 and to build strong team spirit among their peers. It's a fun and focused way to wrap up the school year!

Our year 9 programme will feature three dedicated days of activities and a prizegiving on the final day. 

Core Academic Refreshers: Focused sessions in Literacy (LIT) and Numeracy (NUM) to strengthen essential skills as learners prepare for year 10.

Team Building and Pastoral Care: Sessions dedicated to Ako (learning and teaching together) and Health and Physical Education (HPE). 

Future Focus: Engaging sessions in Careers and STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) to inspire future pathways.

The Big Challenge: A competitive Top Team activity to boost collaboration and house spirit.

Important note on equipment

Learners need to be prepared for physical activity, especially for the HPE and Top Team sessions. Please ensure your learner brings the following on programme days:

• Appropriate HPE gear, which includes sports shoes

• Water bottle: Essential for staying hydrated throughout the active sessions.
