In response to community feedback, our Rolleston College uniform refresh is designed to strengthen a shared sense of unity across both campuses, while giving learners greater comfort and choice. While wearing the Rolleston College uniform remains compulsory, the refresh has been phased so families are not required to replace uniforms all at once. 

From 2026, year 9 and year 11 learners need to purchase the refreshed uniform items, while year 10, 12, and 13 learners may continue to wear their current uniform items or a mix of current and refreshed pieces. Our goal is that from 2027, all learners will wear the same uniform. Further information regarding our uniform refresh is available on the Rolleston College website.

In terms of stock availability, demand has been higher than anticipated, and some of our initial assumptions did not fully reflect this level of interest. Possibly influenced by the recent cold snap, our initial planning anticipated higher demand for jerseys leading into the winter season, and these have since sold out in several sizes. As a result, the school jersey (with the blue arm band), which was due to be phased out, has been discounted and will remain an approved uniform option beyond 2027, ensuring families are not disadvantaged by cost as we transition fully to the new jersey.

Both the refreshed white polos and physical dducation tops have been more popular than anticipated, and some sizes are temporarily out of stock. NZ Uniforms has confirmed that additional stock is arriving regularly, with further deliveries expected this week. NZ Uniforms is actively managing supply, accepting backorders, and will contact families directly as stock becomes available, with options for in-store collection or courier delivery for the start of the school term. The polo is not the only approved uniform top option: both junior and senior learners may choose from the approved uniform shirts as an alternative.
