Congratulations on completing week one at the brand new Te Kura Tuarua!
Please take note of these news items.
Attendance
Attendance at all of your classes is very important. By being in class, you ensure that you are receiving all the learning you will need to be successful within courses.
We check your attendance regularly, and take note of learners who are absent without valid reason. No one should be leaving class during class time.
Unexplained absences or lates will result in learners needing to make this time up so as not to fall behind in their learning. This is during a breaktime or after school.

Driving to school
Before bringing a vehicle, parents must complete the vehicle permission form on SchoolBridge. Once at school, learners are expected to follow all license conditions – including the restricted licence rule of no passengers.
During school hours, our school site is a supervised environment. This means:
Learners are not permitted to leave the site or sit in their vehicles during break times.
Vehicles are off-limits during the day.
Parking: Our school car park is for staff and visitors. Learners should park on surrounding roads, ensuring they park legally. A friendly reminder to leave extra space on Fridays for local rubbish collection!
Drop off and pick up: If you drop or pick your child up from school, we encourage you to do so on Hungerford Drive. This will ensure learner safety and support traffic flow. Please avoid using Eileen Way to ease congestion.
Thank you for helping us keep our roads and our school gate safe for everyone.
Uniform
Wearing the correct school uniform is a powerful way for our learners to show pride and belonging within our community. It fosters a sense of equality and ensures that our learners are easily identifiable and safe. We expect all students to wear their full, correct uniform at all times – including when traveling to and from school. By meeting these standards, learners demonstrate a readiness to learn and a respect for the high expectations of our school environment. Non-regulation uniform items will be confiscated.

Devices
Learners at Te Kura Tuarua are expected to have their own device for learning. If this presents difficult situation, we can issue a long-term loan device, and learners will need to collect a form to be signed by parents from the IT support office. There is no provision for daily Chromebook loans on Te Kura Tuarua.
Canteen
Parents and learners can place cafe orders using the icon on SchoolPoint, or online here.
Orders close at 10:45am daily to allow for preparation and delivery to the campus.
Orders are collected from the sliding window outside food technology room.
Canteen trailer will have a small selection of items.
There is drinks vending machine on its way!
