We are currently running a mid-year recruitment drive for the Selwyn Youth Council (SYC) and are inviting applications from local rangatahi aged 12–24 who live within the Selwyn District.

The Selwyn Youth Council is a diverse group of young people who work together to represent youth voices across the district. Members contribute to projects, provide input into council decisions affecting young people, run consultations, and help design initiatives that support youth wellbeing, connection, leadership, and participation in the community.

• Develop leadership, communication, and teamwork skills
• Gain experience in civic engagement and local decision-making
• Connect with other motivated young people across Selwyn
• Help shape initiatives and opportunities for youth in the district.
