Girls with High Vis trip to Isaac Group in conjunction with Connexis

A small group of year 12/13 girls went to Isaac Group in McLeans Island to learn about careers in the infrastructure sector. We heard from people on the ground in a range of roles such as tendering for projects, health and safety, communications, laboratory testing, etc.

The girls had a great time doing some digger driving and traffic management. After a BBQ lunch and a quiz they returned to school, having learnt about jobs they had never considered before.

University of Canterbury's Bachelor of Sport

A group of senior PE learnerss attended UC for the afternoon where they had the opportunity to experience an exercise science class. They used a range of equipment to test speed, height, body mass and more. This class is part of the Bachelor of Sport and was a great opportunity to see the facilities available.

Year 13 tertiary and scholarships presentations

If you're in year 13 and considering tertiary study next year or in the future, you should attend the scholarships presentation during Advisory (block 1) on Friday 26 June 2026. There is a second opportunity for learners to attend on Friday 3 July during Advisory in block 2.

On Wednesday 22 July (week one of term three), there is a University of Otago presentation about scholarships, in 2HF1 during interval (11:20am to 11:50am).
