We always want to encourage our learners to be safe and visible while riding bikes and scooters to and from school. You should be wearing a helmet, and walking with your bike or scooter on school grounds, and taking care not to ride your bike over soft or muddy grounds – particularly at Foster Park.
We have seen an increase in learners' bikes and scooters locked at the Selwyn Aquatic Centre and Selwyn Sports Centre. Please don't do this, unless you are using the facilities. There is plenty of space to store your bike at school, including bike sheds at our Goulds Road entrance, and racks at Broadland Drive entrance. At Te Kura Tuarua, the bike racks are easy to find between the gymnasium and the science and technology building.
Please keep in mind that other members of the community use bike racks at council facilities, and when we take up space in those areas, it may mean that someone else can't lock their bike there.
Show your Rolleston Spirit, and the E Tū Tāngata values while you are around Rolleston!
