We are excited to share and celebrate Tonga Language Week at Rolleston College in 2026!

The week runs from Sunday 16 to Saturday 22 August.

We invite learners to wear traditional Tongan dress to school all week.

This year's theme is Ko 'etau hiva, ko e fe'unu mahu'inga ia ki he mo'ui 'a e Tonga – Our music is a vital strand of our Tongan culture.

We invite you to our Tonga outreach fundraiser on Tuesday evening at 6pm, at our Te Kura Tuatahi (junior campus) auditorium. This is to support our learners who will travel to Tonga next year.

We will enjoy a performance from our Tongan group, and from Ashburton College community!

It will be an awesome event with warm Pacific vibes, and all attendees will receive a take-home meal of Island-style BBQ!
