Chloe Flaminiano wins GirlBoss award

Our year 13 learner, Chloe Flaminiano, recently won the STEM award at the Canterbury GirlBoss Awards.

Chloe's balm for eczema and sensitive skin, which she developed herself after her own battles, has turned into a business for Chloe, named after her late sister, Jhislaine.

Speaking to the Selwyn Times last week, Chloe said that one of her proudest moments was seeing her friends buy her products, and see that it worked for them too.

Her skincare range has expanded to include natural soaps as well, but she remains focussed on school, and then university next year, with the business remaining a side hustle for now.

Chloe says she intends to study law and commerce.

You can visit Chloe's website here, or read more of her story in the 24 September 2026 Selwyn Times.
