Our uniform represents unity, belonging, and a commitment to excellence. When learners arrive at school dressed in the correct uniform, they send a clear message: they are ready to learn, to participate fully, and to be part of something greater than themselves. It helps set a tone of respect, responsibility, and readiness—qualities we nurture in every learner.
We’d like to thank all our students and parents who continue to support our uniform expectations. Your efforts help maintain the high standards we are proud of at Rolleston College. As we head into the new term, we encourage everyone to double-check that all items of uniform are correct, clean, and worn with pride. A reminder that hoodies, track pants and non-uniform jackets are not part of the school uniform and should be left at home. Non-uniform items will be confiscated, and learners can collect them at the next non-uniform day.
Now that winter is well and truly here, we recommend making sure your learner has correct winter uniform ready for the colder months ahead.
If there are any issues with uniform items or access to them, please don’t hesitate to reach out to the school. We’re here to help and can offer support where needed.
Together, let’s continue to uphold the values that make Rolleston College a place we’re all proud to be part of.
Uniform can be purchased online from NZ Uniforms or instore at 455 Blenheim Road, Christchurch. We have a Facebook group where whānau can acquire or trade second-hand uniform items.
Learners are expected to take pride in the presentation of their uniform. Correct uniform is expected in the following contexts:
School uniform should be worn when traveling between home and school, while at school and when representing the college at functions away from school.
Learners who compete at inter-school competitions and or matches.
Learners will be checked regularly for correct and full uniform.
If any part of the uniform cannot be worn correctly, a note explaining the matter should be given to the whānau leadership, and a replacement uniform may be issued on the day concerned.
Any exceptions should be discussed with the whānau leader.
We encourage all uniform items to be clearly named so they can be easily returned if misplaced.
