Congratulation to Mackenzie WIlls, winner of the Young Women in Public Affairs award from Zonta!

The Young Women in Public Affairs (YWPA) Award recognises young women for their demonstrated leadership skills and commitment to public service and civic causes and encourages them to continue their participation in public and political life.

On Monday 13 May, Mackenzie was awarded the Zonta North YWPA Award. This award also comes with $1000 scholarship money for Mackenzie to use next year for tertiary study. Mackenzie was invited to have dinner with the Zonta North members and then was presented with her award alongside giving a brief speech about her leadership and public service journey.

On Friday morning we learnt that Mackenzie was one of 37 young women worldwide who were named international scholarship recipients for their commitment to volunteerism, volunteer leadership achievements and dedication to empowering women. Mackenzie has won an additional $5000 USD to contribute to her teritary studies.
